?You Are on the Path?
..in case you needed a reminder from anyone recently. You are. This way or that way, do you ask yourself this? I know, me too. I used to be much more of a dualistic kind of thinker – and that would rule much of how I processed decisions or any seeming detours presented. Though life can have a way of softening most of those beliefs. That in itself has really helped open me more in being able to receive the wisdom in those detours. It is one thing to shift a perspective like that. And it is another- to trust yourself to actually allow the shifts. What if your detours were also guideposts?
The other day I was on a nature walk with someone through a path to a special spot I had been through many times. Our wet season, however, made the path look slightly different to me – as it was overgrown with bush. The interesting thing, I stopped at the cherry tree and told them let us pivot that way and go to the left. The left was through even more bush than the original path – but I was going off of the direction from where I heard the sound of the oceans. In usual form for me… five minutes later going through the less traveled path – we ended up back by the cherry tree and shortly to our destination. Laughing at myself and loving how fitting that represented parts of my vibe.
Those forks in the roads or detours as we call them cannot exist unless they are directly connected. Consider when driving – the detours eventually connect you back to your destined direction. Likewise, as nature’s design shows us – our rivers – and the seas where they eventually flow to. In life, I have not known any detour that wasn’t connected to the path(s)… and usually, to something even greater – should I have allowed myself the experience to grow into it in that way.
How have you been viewing and managing a detour or fork in the road in your life? I would love to hear from you on how you are meeting any transitory space you had been in or may currently be in.
I believe that like magnets – we are eventually led back to the paths of life callings that were written for us before our first breath taken.
