Carly is a speaker, writer, dancer and a practitioner of soul connection work, movement, reiki and bodywork. She founded her wellness practice, CarlySoul, in 2017 to offer a space for people to heal, clarify and build relation into all the parts within themselves. Her path in the wellness realms and future studies began within her own journeys through the grief, awakenings and ancestral initiations brought forward through caregiving the terminal illness and death process of her mother, and shortly after, the divorce of her marriage. Her natural passion for speaking to and holding intentional space for who or what is unseen or unheard has been a part of her since childhood and is what led her to later work in within cultural and diversity affairs programming for college students.
She believes in the power and influence in soul connection, intuition, initiations, shadow-work, bodywork and deep-processing work as opportunities for us to authentically relate with the landscapes of our mind, body, and soul– improving the relationship we have to ourselves and evolving our presence with the people and communities in our lives.
Prior to starting the CarlySoul practice, she worked in academic enrichment and multicultural affairs at universities and liberal arts colleges in the city of Philadelphia. Carly has also served in creative expression and movement programming in a residential home for persons with mental and physical disabilities/differences. She has a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from University of Delaware and an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University. Originally from Philadelphia, PA and with ancestral roots in Jamaica from her maternal side, Carly has been living on the island of Grenada, W.I. since 2014. She is also a freelance editor and virtual assistant, and the co-founder of The Exodus Collective.
It is from her values for being and evolving that most inspires her in holding space for others through the CarlySoul wellness practice.
